City of Sacramento Youth Commission to beautify City Hall

The City of Sacramento’s Youth Commission will be having a Fun in the Sun: City Hall Clean-up on Saturday – April 18. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and focus on beautifying both Historic City Hall and New City Hall as well as the City Hall Plaza located at 915 I Street, Downtown Sacramento.

The importance of beautifying and cleaning up City Hall is essential to the well-being and representation of the City of Sacramento. Businesses, non-profit organizations, neighborhood associations, schools and other government agencies make it a priority to maintain and beautify their headquarters. As an official Mayor and City Council appointed advisory body, the Youth Commission would like to demonstrate their pride of Sacramento by beautifying their main base of operations. As representatives of Sacramento’s youth, the Youth Commission would like to inspire other young people all across the city to organize their own community service projects.

The Sacramento Youth Commission is an advocacy group whose mission is to protect, preserve, and enhance the quality of life for Sacramento youth by advising the City Council and the public on issues relating to youth policies, programs, and opportunities. Its members are between the ages of 14-19.
