Philharmonic Orchestra & Opera holds “Conduct Us” event

With the 2015-16 Season of the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra & Opera announced, a “Conduct Us” event was held on the west steps of the Capital to promote the variety of events available through May of 2016. The event gave public participants the unique chance conduct the live orchestra from 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17.

Volunteers from the public were given a choice of three songs, to conduct at their will. In attendance was City Manager John Shirey, who gracefully conducted the piece “Ode to Joy” for a gathering in front of the steps.

This season continues the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra & Opera patron-friendly pricing, with subscription prices as low as $18 at the Sacramento Community Center Theater. Make sure to visit the website or contact 808-2000 for more information.
