City Expands Community Engagement Outreach Efforts in Oak Park

The City of Sacramento continues to maintain an active presence in Oak Park. In an effort to create a healthy and safe community, City officials, community leaders and residents have gathered together for peace walks, community BBQs, and family-friendly activities. In just the last two weeks, the City hosted peace walks that were well attended by the community, and will continue to host more in the near future.

In addition, the Oak Park Community Center has expanded its youth summer program, which include an additional Hot Spot night, and Saturday themed events.

Programs are free and require registration. Parents can register participants at the Oak Park Community Center.

Find a Hot Spot in your Neighborhood

Every Friday night from 7 to 11 p.m., the City’s Neighborhood Services Division hosts Hot Spots for youth ages 13 to 19 at various community centers throughout Sacramento. Each Hot Spot location offers basketball, volleyball, snacks and more! Visit the City’s website for more information on locations.
