The City just doubled the amount of money people can receive from water conservation rebates

The City’s Department of Utilities has increased the amount of money people can receive from water conservation rebates, including grass conversions as well as irrigation and indoor fixture upgrades.

The increased rebates are available now through the end of the year.

As drought conditions affect the state and region, the updated incentive program is part of the City’s efforts to help people be more efficient with how they use water.

“Sacramento residents have time and again shown their commitment to being efficient users of water,” said Roshini Das, Department of Utilities sustainability program manager. “We hope that the increased rebate amounts will help residents make conservation even easier.”

Here is a list of what’s available:

People can find water conservation rebates on the City’s residential rebates page.

“If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your fixtures or landscaping and putting it off, now is the time,” said Das.
