$3.5 million in grants now available to support North Sacramento businesses and nonprofits  

The City of Sacramento is now accepting applications for grants to support North Sacramento small businesses and nonprofits organizations. 

“These grants were created to help the North Sacramento community recover from the negative economic impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Councilmember Sean Loloee, who represents District 2 and whose office is leading this effort. “We are so proud to not only be helping stabilize existing businesses and nonprofits but also helping them grow and thrive.”  

A total of $3.5 million is available via the following two grant programs:   

1. North Sacramento Façade and Property Improvement Grant Program—between $5,000 to $30,000 in matching grant funds  

Open to small businesses or nonprofits with street frontage located on either Marysville Boulevard or Del Paso Boulevard, the grant program will fund exterior enhancements with the goal of improving the physical appearance of corridor storefronts. Eligible activities include, but are not limited to:  

2. North Sacramento Transformative Reinvestment Grant Program—between $25,000 to $240,000  

Open to small businesses or nonprofits located within District 2 boundaries, the grant program will fund an array of transformative activities with the goal of creating and retaining jobs as well as expanding existing businesses, programs, and services. Eligible activities include, but are not limited to:
