Utilities staff invites Sacramento residents to a webinar on March 4 that can teach them how to transform their yards into water-efficient landscapes.
The free event is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. and will feature expert advice from water conservation specialists on navigating the City of Sacramento’s outdoor rebate program.
“This is a great learning opportunity for both homeowners and businesses looking to save water and money,” said William Granger, the City’s water conservation coordinator.
The City offers rebates to single-family homeowners who make water-saving improvements to their yards, including up to $3,000 for converting grass to drought-tolerant landscaping and up to $800 for irrigation system upgrades.
Multi-family and business customers can also receive up to $50,000 for grass conversion projects, irrigation upgrades, or a combination of both.
“Our water conservation specialists will provide expert advice, share common mistakes to avoid and offer practical tips for customers looking to take advantage of available rebates,” said Granger.
People can sign up for the webinar online. All registrants will receive a recording after the event.
