Front Street in Sacramento will transform into a block party for the highly anticipated Front Street Brewfest—an afternoon filled with beer, wine, cider, music, games, and more on Saturday, May 10.
From 1-4 p.m. (with VIP entry at noon), over 2,500 attendees are expected to gather outside the Front Street Animal Shelter (2127 Front Street) to raise their glasses in support of local animals in need.
Hosted by Friends of Front Street Animal Shelter, the nonprofit fundraising partner of the shelter, the Brewfest brings together some of the best of the Sacramento region, all pouring unlimited tastings of local beer, wines, and ciders.
“This event is a fun way to support animals who are truly in need of a second chance,” said Philip Zimmerman, Animal Care Services Manager. “Every ticket purchased directly funds lifesaving services—from emergency medical treatments to supporting our foster program.”
Proceeds will also go toward vital community programs such as Front Street’s free microchip and vaccine clinics and support for other programs, like hospice adoptions, that help animals get their second chance at life.
Attendees will also enjoy live music, outdoor games, and a variety of popular food trucks, plus free admission to the California Automobile Museum, located just steps away from the festivities. Adoptable pets from the shelter will also be available to meet.
“Events like Brewfest make our work possible,” Zimmerman added. “They allow us to continue caring for the most vulnerable animals in our community and give them the love and medical care they deserve.”
This is a 21+ event, rain or shine, and pets from home should stay home, as the event will feature shelter animals on-site.
