Celebrate summer with $1 entry at neighborhood pools June 14 and 15

Summer is almost here, and the City’s Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment is inviting residents to celebrate the season with $1 entry at its neighborhood pools.

On Saturday, June 14, and Sunday, June 15, admission is just $1 per person at all neighborhood pools.

“We’re excited that, with the opening of the newly converted Mama Marks Splash Pad and the reopening of Southside Pool, this will be the first summer since 2018 that all City aquatics facilities will be open,” said Sjon Swanson, YPCE recreation manager. “We remain committed to ensuring that every community has access to safe and fun aquatic facilities this summer.”

YPCE will continue many aquatics programs offering swim lessons, swim team, aquacise, recreational swimming and lap swimming at 12 lifeguarded neighborhood pools at the start of the summer season. Four free play/wading pools will be open for children under 7.

For recreation swim through the summer, neighborhood pools will cost $3 for youth and $5 for adults and will be open with varying hours and days. North Natomas Aquatics Complex costs $7 for youth and $9 for adults and will be open 7 days per week through August.

Youth Program Scholarship Funds are available to provide free aquatics programs to youth and families demonstrating financial need.

Spray parks and splash pads also operate from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend.
