Run to Feed the Hungry, an annual 10K run and 5K run/walk benefiting Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, will take place on Thanksgiving morning (Nov. 27). The event will result in street closures in and around East Sacramento.
Residents and motorists are advised to check the map below and add extra time if they plan on driving in or out of the area during the morning hours on Thursday.
The 10K run will begin at 8:15 a.m., and the 5K will begin at 9 a.m. on J Street just west of the entrance to the Sacramento State campus.
Roads will remain closed to traffic until approximately noon.
Those living in the neighborhood can locate their specific area on the race’s neighborhood exit plan map for when your area will be affected.

- Alhambra Boulevard (H Street to McKinley Boulevard)
- McKinley Boulevard (Alhambra Boulevard to Elvas Avenue)
- Elvas Avenue (McKinley Boulevard to 51st Street)
- 51st Street (Elvas Avenue to D Street)
- D Street (51st Street to Coloma Way)
- Coloma Way (D Street to Pico Way)
- Pico Way (Coloma Way to F Street)
- F Street (Pico Way to 47th Street)
- 47th Street (F to H streets)
