The results are in: Here’s how residents responded to the City’s 2026 community survey

The results from the City of Sacramento’s latest community survey are in and available for easy viewing through an interactive online dashboard.

The survey, conducted by the City Auditor’s Office, asked residents for feedback about the quality of life and services in Sacramento, including safety, mobility, parks and recreation, the economy, and community connection.

A randomly selected sample of 7,500 households received invitations to participate between Jan. 2 and Feb. 13, 2026. A total of 450 residents completed the survey, providing a statistically representative snapshot of community sentiment.

In addition to the random sample, an open-participation portion of the survey was open to all City residents, with the 1,454 responses analyzed separately. These results are also available through the online dashboard.

“The community survey gives us an important snapshot of how residents experience life in Sacramento,” City Auditor Farishta Ahrary said. “The results help City leaders understand what is working well and where residents want to see continued improvement.”

The survey results will be presented to the City Council on March 17 at 2 p.m.
