The City of Sacramento is accepting applications for approximately $80,000 in grants to support community-led projects along Stockton Boulevard that align with the priorities outlined in the Stockton Blvd Plan.
This is the third and final funding round for the Stockton Blvd Plan Action Grant program. Applicants may request between $5,000 and $20,000 for projects that benefit people and businesses within the plan’s study area.
The program is managed by the City’s Neighborhood Development Action Team (NDAT) in partnership with the Office of Arts and Culture.
“The grant program gives community members, organizations and businesses an opportunity to turn ideas for Stockton Boulevard into projects that benefit the area,” said Mikel Davila, a senior project manager with the City’s Economic Development Department. “This final round will continue supporting work that reflects the priorities identified by the community.”
About $40,000 is earmarked for projects connected to Creative Edge: Sacramento’s Arts, Culture and Creative Economy Plan. Proposals seeking that funding must include eligible arts or cultural activities and identify the Creative Edge goals they would advance.
All proposed projects must align with at least one of the six priority areas identified in the Stockton Blvd Plan:
- Land use
- Housing
- Culture, arts and community character
- Inclusive economic development
- Environment, public health and safety
- Community engagement and capacity building
Projects must include a clear timeline and budget, benefit the Stockton Boulevard study area and be completed within 12 months.
Before submitting an application, applicants must meet with a project manager. Applicants are highly encouraged to review Addendum No. 1 and the current grant materials for updates that apply to the final round.
