Looking for Halloween fun in Sacramento? Here are six upcoming events

The City’s Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment (YPCE) is hosting a series of free, family-friendly events throughout October.

From Halloween bingo and haunted houses to costume contests and trick-or-treating, here are six upcoming events at City community centers.

Halloween Bingo

Kick off the Halloween season with bingo, prizes, a raffle and snacks at Coloma Community Center. The free event is open to all ages and advance registration is required.

When: 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9

Cost: Free

Fall Fest Family Fun Day

Celebrate the season outdoors at South Natomas Community Center. The family-friendly event will feature face painting, crafts, fall-themed carnival games and community resource groups.

When: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10
Where: South Natomas Community Center, 2921 Truxel Road
Cost: Free

Howl-O-Ween

Belle Cooledge Community Center is hosting a spooky night for the whole family featuring a haunted house, games and costume contests for dogs, youth and adults.

Day-of registration is required for the costume contests and space is limited.

When: 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16

MeadowBOO!

Head to Pannell Community Center for MeadowBOO!, a free Halloween celebration for all ages.

Fright Night at Sim

George Sim Community Center will host its annual Fright Night haunted house. The event is free and open to all ages, but advance registration is required.

Del Paso Frights

Wrap up the month with Del Paso Frights at Hagginwood Community Center. The free event will feature safe indoor trick-or-treating, games, music and other Halloween fun for all ages.

When: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27
Where: Hagginwood Community Center, 3271 Marysville Blvd.
Cost: Free
