The Caltrans Fix 50 project to resurface the portion of Highway 50 known as the W/X viaduct will extensively impact traffic in the City and throughout the region. The eastbound side, stage 1, starts May 2 and runs through May 22. The westbound side, stage 2,  will be addressed from May 28 through June 17. Drivers can expect some on- and off-ramp closures and both stages will require closures to or from Highway 50 and one direction of Highway 99 and Business 80.
