Roads are closing for IRONMAN California. Here’s where

More than 3,500 athletes are expected to participate in the 2021 IRONMAN California in Sacramento on Sunday, Oct. 24. The competition will debut in Sacramento this year and temporarily close several streets in downtown and midtown Sacramento. Sunday’s event ends at the California State Capitol.

Expect traffic delays. Streets affected by the competition are as follows:

Friday, Oct. 22 to Monday, Oct. 25

Sunday, Oct. 24 (Race Day)

Freeway Closures (reopens at 6 p.m. on Race Day)
