More than 3,500 athletes are expected to participate in the 2021 IRONMAN California in Sacramento on Sunday, Oct. 24. The competition will debut in Sacramento this year and temporarily close several streets in downtown and midtown Sacramento. Sunday’s event ends at the California State Capitol.

- Tower Bridge from Riverfront Street to Front Street closes at 7:30 a.m. opens at 10 a.m.
- F Street from 7th Street to 13th Street closes at 9 a.m. opens at 10 p.m.
- 13th Street from F Street to L Street closes at 9 a.m. opens at 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25
- L Street from 15th Street to 8th Street closes at 9 a.m. opens at 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25
- 8th Street from L Street to P Street closes at 9 a.m. opens at 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25
- N Street from 15th Street to 8th Street closes at 9 a.m. opens at 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25
- Eastbound Capitol Mall from 3rd Street to 8th Street closes at 9 a.m. opens at 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25
- 3rd Street from Capitol Mall to N Street closes at 9 a.m. opens at 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25
- N Street from 3rd Street to 2nd Street closes at 9 a.m. opens at 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25
- 2nd Street from N Street to O Street closes at 9 a.m. opens at 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25
- O Street from 2nd Street to Front Street closes at 9 a.m. opens at 2 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25
- Del Paso Blvd from Northgate Blvd. to Railroad Drive opens at 9:30 p.m.
Freeway Closures (reopens at 6 p.m. on Race Day)
- Westbound I-50 off ramp from 5th Street closes at 7 a.m.
- Eastbound I-50 on ramp from River Road on ramp near 15th Street closes at 7 a.m.
