Share your input on red-light safety
The City is asking residents to share their experiences with red-light running and provide feedback on a proposed automated red-light enforcement program. A short survey allows residents to weigh in on proposed camera locations and other traffic safety concerns.
Free naloxone training for hospitality and nightlife staff
Hospitality and nightlife staff can attend a free naloxone training on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 3 to 4 p.m. at 300 Richards Blvd., Room 221. Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose, including how to administer Narcan. Free parking is available.
Save more with the City’s grass conversion rebate
Eligible customers can receive up to $5,000 to replace grass with water-efficient landscaping through the City’s expanded rebate program. The rebate has increased to $2.50 per square foot for applications submitted by Feb. 28, 2027. Residents can also receive up to $200 toward professional front-yard landscape design assistance.
First Spanish-led Urban Biking & Scooting 101 class
The City will host its first Spanish-led Urban Biking & Scooting 101 class on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Maple Neighborhood Center (3301 37th Ave.). The free class will cover the basics of biking and scooting safely on Sacramento streets. No bike or scooter is required.
Help shape the new Sutter’s Landing skatepark
The City is partnering with California Skateparks to redesign the skatepark at Sutter’s Landing Regional Park. Residents and members of the skate community are invited to take a survey by Aug. 31 and share how they would use the park to help inform its design.
Last chance to weigh in on housing and zoning
Residents have until Aug. 31 to provide feedback through the Missing Middle Housing survey and on the City’s 2040 General Plan and Zoning Consistency work.
