Front Street Animal Shelter is waiving all adoption fees through Dec. 23 to help animals find a new home for the holidays.
Front Street is beyond capacity and is asking the community to help save lives, according to Ryan Hinderman, Front Street’s communications and customer service manager.
All animals will be fixed, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption.
Adopters get a health exam certificate of the adopted pet and, in the case of city residents, a one-year license. Each adopted dog comes with a collar and leash.
“The dream is to get every adoptable animal currently at the shelter into a home for the holidays,” said Hinderman.
Adoptable animals at the shelter and in foster care can be viewed on the adoptions webpage. New animals go up for adoption every day.
The Front Street Animal Shelter is located at 2127 Front St. (with a cross-street of Broadway) and is open seven days a week from noon to 5 p.m. Walk-ins welcomed. No appointment needed.
