Annual BizX event returns May 7 with focus on local business success stories

Entrepreneurs, small business owners and industry professionals are invited to attend BizX 2025 on May 7 from 3 to 6 p.m., where local business leaders will share their inspiring paths from startup to success.

Held annually as part of Capital Region Small Business Week (CRSBW), BizX is the premier business resource and networking event, hosted by the City of Sacramento’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development and Sacramento County’s Office of Economic Development

This year’s theme, “Dream Big, Start Small,” highlights the journeys of entrepreneurs who turned their ideas into thriving enterprises.

“This event celebrates the drive and resilience of local entrepreneurs,” said the City’s Development Project Manager Valerie Mamone. “It’s an opportunity for attendees to learn, connect and be inspired by Sacramento’s business community.”

Keynote speaker Ginger Elizabeth Hahn, owner of Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates, will share how she built her renowned luxury chocolate brand through passion, perseverance, and dedication.

Following the keynote, a dynamic panel of local business leaders will offer their firsthand insights. Panelists include:

  • Ernesto Delgado, restaurateur and owner of Tequila Museo Mayahuel, La Cosecha Sacramento, Octopus Baja Sacramento, Oaxaca and Mesa Mercado Carmichael
  • Susan O’Brien, owner of The Kitchen Table
