Help shape the future of Old Sacramento Waterfront

The City of Sacramento is asking residents, visitors and community members to share their input on how to make the Old Sacramento Waterfront (OSW) a more vibrant and welcoming destination.

A brief 10-minute survey is now available and aims to gather public feedback on what draws people to the waterfront — whether it’s family outings, historic sites, cultural programming, dining, or other experiences. Responses will directly help shape the next phase of a media and marketing campaign designed to increase visitation and boost local businesses.

“This campaign is focused on supporting Old Sacramento’s success as one of the city’s most important tourism areas,” said Valerie Mamone, development project manager with the City’s Office of Innovation & Economic Development. “We want to ensure our messaging and outreach reflects what people value most about the area.”

Survey responses will be reviewed by the City and help guide strategy for OSW’s promotional campaign. The information will help refine media buys and activation efforts to better connect with target audiences.

“Your voice matters,” said Mamone. “With your input, we can create a campaign that brings more people to the waterfront and supports the local businesses and events that make the district thrive.”

This outreach effort is part of a broader marketing push to elevate Old Sacramento as a premier destination that reflects Sacramento’s unique culture, history and community spirit.
