The City of Sacramento’s Office of Nighttime Economy will host two upcoming free events designed to support and educate the Sacramento nighttime hospitality industry.
Both events, to be held at 300 Richards Blvd., Room 221, will provide valuable training and information to help businesses operate safely and effectively. Free parking will be available.
“The trainings are about connection, education, and strengthening our nighttime economy,” said the City’s Nighttime Economy Manager Tina Lee-Vogt.
July 17 from 3 to 5 p.m.
“Pubs, Clubs, and Bars” Training
This free event will cover essential business and safety practices, featuring support from various City departments and nonprofit partners, including the Sacramento Valley Small Business Development Center. City representatives from the Office of Nighttime Economy, Economic Development, the Entertainment Services Division, the Sacramento Police Department, the Sacramento Fire Department, and Code Compliance are anticipated to attend. Entertainment Permit holders will receive complimentary three-ring binders and insert tabs from the City.
July 31 from 3 to 4 p.m.
Naloxone Training
The City, in partnership with Sacramento County Opioid Coalition, will provide free Naloxone training for hospitality and nightlife staff. This free session will equip staff with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses, including how to administer Narcan (Naloxone). Attendees will receive a complimentary Narcan kit, resources, and a CPR face shield from the Sacramento County Opioid Coalition.

Both events will provide attendees with valuable insights and practical skills to enhance the safety and management of their establishments.
