Sacramento city creative entrepreneurs can now apply to participate in the six-week “EveryDay Creative” program, designed to help grow their businesses.
This specialized track provides early-stage creative entrepreneurs with business fundamentals and mentorship to help refine their ideas and pitches.
Managed by CLTRE and Creative Startups, and funded by the City’s Office of Arts and Culture through federal American Rescue Plan dollars, the program is dedicated to supporting all businesses, especially those run by people of color, people with disabilities, veterans, and those in low-to-moderate-wealth communities.
“Collaborations like this create pathways for Sacramento’s creative community and provide meaningful support for all entrepreneurs,” said Roshaun Davis, Executive Director of CLTRE.
This six-week program is open to early-stage ideas and a wide range of creative businesses based within Sacramento city limits. Eligible participants include animators, architects, art directors, fashion designers, game developers, graphic designers, illustrators, musicians, photographers, and others working across the creative sector. See the guidelines here.
The program offers:
- Mentorship and training: Insights and guidance from seasoned industry experts.
- Networking opportunities: Connections with peers, potential collaborators, and investors.
- Customized support: Resources and tools to develop, refine, and implement creative businesses.
Applications are open until Sept. 15 at 11 p.m. The program begins with an in-person kickoff Oct. 16–17 and runs through Nov. 21.
The program fee is $95 per person. Those who cannot afford the $95 fee can submit a recommendation letter from a community leader (pastor, professor, mentor, or other) who supports their entrepreneurial efforts.
Future tracks launching in 2026 will provide personalized coaching and a 12-week accelerator for entrepreneurs ready to scale.
