The Sacramento Police Department, in partnership with Downtown Commons, has opened a new Bike Unit office at 320 K St. in the heart of downtown.

The office gives bike officers a dedicated base inside the downtown core, allowing quicker deployments and a sustained presence in one of Sacramento’s busiest areas. Police officials said the location will help officers stay connected and responsive to residents, workers and visitors.
“This partnership with DOCO represents a shared commitment to supporting a vibrant downtown environment,” SPD Sgt. Dan Wiseman said. “Having this dedicated space allows our officers to operate more efficiently and remain closely connected to the community they serve.”
Police and DOCO leaders said the collaboration is aimed at promoting safety, accessibility and engagement downtown.
“We’re proud to partner with the Sacramento Police Department to bring this new Bike Unit office to DOCO,” Sacramento Kings Chief Operating Officer Matina Kolokotronis said. “Our collaboration underscores a shared dedication to creating a safe, welcoming and vibrant downtown experience for everyone who lives, works and visits our dynamic plaza.”
The SPD Bike Unit is expected to be fully operational from the new office by early 2026. SPD and DOCO said they plan to continue working together to strengthen connections between law enforcement, local businesses and the broader Sacramento community.
