Homelessness Response Report: Citywide work includes cleanup in East Del Paso Heights

The City’s Incident Management Team (IMT) received 607 calls for service last week and responded by engaging people experiencing homelessness, offering services and shelter options, and ensuring compliance with City laws and ordinances.

From Jan. 26 to Feb. 1, the IMT responded to 520 unique locations, including an area in East Del Paso Heights where staff resolved an issue with encampment-related waste.

Key IMT activity and service data from the reporting period:

311 service requests

  • 311 calls received related to unsheltered individuals: 607
  • Homelessness-related cases opened: 2,349
  • Homelessness-related cases closed: 2,764

Outreach and placements

  • Unsheltered people enrolled into shared local outreach databases: 68
  • Unsheltered people placed into City shelter sites (Roseville Road campus or the Outreach and Engagement Center): 12

Shelter availability as of Feb. 3

  • Roseville Road Campus: 0 cabins available
  • Outreach and Engagement Center: 9 spaces available
  • Average openings at City-funded shelters (excluding Roseville Road and OEC): 15

Environmental services

  • Trash removed: 74,620 pounds
