Sacramento creative entrepreneurs invited to apply for accelerator program to help build their businesses

Creative entrepreneurs in Sacramento are invited to apply for the 2026 “EveryDay Creative” accelerator, a 12-week program designed to help growing businesses expand and strengthen their operations.

The program is managed by CLTRE and Creative Startups and funded by the City of Sacramento’s Office of Arts and Culture through federal American Rescue Plan funds. It is designed to support creative entrepreneurs, particularly those who face barriers to accessing capital and business resources.

The program is designed for entrepreneurs who have developed foundational business skills, either by earning at least $20,000 in annual revenue or by completing foundational entrepreneurship coursework.

During the 12-week program, participants create a plan to grow their business, explore funding options and receive mentorship from experienced advisors. Those who complete the program are eligible for non-dilutive investments ranging from $3,000 to $5,000.

Past participants have included businesses such as Tri.Angle Media, a creative media company that refined its growth strategy and market positioning; Crispín Supper Club, a food-based business blending culture and sustainability to build community; and Let’s Go Studio, whose founder shared in testimony to the City’s Arts and Culture Commission how the program helped turn a creative practice into a sustainable business.

“The program gave us the opportunity to work through challenges and have important conversations about our roles, responsibilities and long-term vision,” said Gordon Lim, who co-founded Tri.Angle Media with Doug Cupid after participating in the EveryDay Creative program.

Since its launch in Sacramento, EveryDay Creative has provided business training, mentorship and access to industry professionals, supporting the growth of locally owned creative businesses and expanding opportunities within the city’s creative economy.

Applications close March 1 at 11 p.m.

Participants meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30–7 p.m., beginning with a kickoff April 2 and 3. The program runs through June 26 and concludes with a public pitch night and graduation.

Those who cannot afford the $95 fee can submit a recommendation letter from a community leader who supports their entrepreneurial efforts.
