Families looking for a fun and active option for children during spring break can now register for the Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment (YPCE) Spring Break Camp, offered March 30 through April 3.
The camp is open to youth ages 6 to 12 and will take place from 9 a.m. to noon each day at community centers across the city, including Coloma, Clunie, George Sim, Hagginwood, Oak Park, Pannell and South Natomas.
Seasonal break camps provide a safe, active and engaging environment for children during school holidays.
Rooted in recreation and guided by play, the program balances structured and free-choice activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, team-building exercises, STEAM activities, and indoor and outdoor adventures.
“Spring Break Camp gives kids a chance to stay active, try new activities and build friendships in a safe and welcoming environment,” said YPCE spokesperson Gabby Miller. “We’re proud to offer an affordable option that supports families while school is out.”
Campers receive a healthy snack each day, and the program emphasizes creating a sense of belonging so every child feels included, valued and connected.
Daily registration is available for $10 per day, offering flexibility for families who may only need care on certain days.
Scholarships are available for qualifying families, and early application is encouraged.
Registration is now open and can be completed online.
