Business owners, managers, and security professionals can access information and resources to improve safety in hospitality and nightlife businesses at a free training on March 26.
The City of Sacramento’s Office of Nighttime Economy will host the “Hospitality & Nightlife Safety Summit” from 3-5 p.m. at the Chief Ray Charles Hall of Honor inside the Sacramento Public Safety Center (5770 Freeport Blvd.). Free parking is available on site.
“This summit will help to align businesses, City departments and public safety partners to work together to strengthen coordination and support a safer nightlife,” said the City’s Nighttime Economy Manager Tina Lee-Vogt.
Partners from the Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento Fire Department and Code Compliance will provide information to help businesses operate safely. Representatives from state agencies such as the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and Bureau of Security and Investigative Services will also participate.
The agenda will build on Pubs, Clubs and Bars trainings, with an increased focus on safety considerations and coordination across agencies. The summit will also provide an opportunity for attendees to connect with department and agency representatives.
The City offers various training sessions to provide hospitality and nighttime businesses with information to support safe and successful operations. More information about upcoming trainings is available on the City’s website.
