The City’s Incident Management Team (IMT) received 612 calls for service last week and responded by engaging people experiencing homelessness, offering services and shelter options, and ensuring compliance with City laws and ordinances.
From March 23-29, the IMT responded to 685 unique locations.
In the Central City, the Department of Community Response (DCR) continues to focus on maintaining a clean, safe and accessible downtown through coordinated daily operations and outreach.
DCR teams conduct early morning deployments, respond to community concerns and address conditions in public spaces throughout downtown. This work supports businesses, residents and visitors by helping keep high-traffic areas clean and accessible while connecting individuals experiencing crisis to services and resources.
In addition to regular operations, DCR maintains a balanced approach that includes outreach, cleanup and enforcement. Together, these activities support a downtown environment where economic activity, cultural events and daily use of public spaces can continue without disruption.
Coordination with partners such as the Downtown Sacramento Partnership plays a key role in this work, helping align daily operations and maintain a consistent, well-managed environment. These partnerships help ensure services and maintenance efforts are carried out across the Central City, supporting a safe, welcoming and active downtown for the community.
