Dog days of summer featured benefit for animal shelter
Construction on a new surgery center is underway this month, thanks to the $26,000 raised from a recent fundraiser. The City needs a total of $59,000 for surgery equipment, but the event helped get the effort to nearly the half-way point. You can donate here.
The first Paws to Party event attracted 700 attendees, vendors and volunteers all dedicated to donating to the Front Street Animal Shelter’s new surgery center. For the cost of $30 per ticket, dozens of restaurant, catering and wine vendors provided the food and drink samples for the hundreds of guests attending the August event at the California Auto Museum. Said Animal Shelter Manager Gina Knepp, “I’m thrilled we were able to be so successful with this fundraiser the first time out.”
