Meet Avis Tedford, a seasoned Firefighter/Paramedic with nearly 16 years under her belt. Her motivation to become a firefighter stems from her longstanding desire to help people in emergency situations.
“I love the feel of camaraderie and to know that it is a home-away-from-home,” said Avis when asked why she loved working for Sacramento Fire.
Assigned to Fire Station 13, located on 43rd Avenue, Avis likes the opportunity of providing assistance and bringing the customer to success. She also enjoys the opportunity of growing in this career.
