Text & photo "Paid for by Measure U, Half-Cent Voter Approved Sales Tax"

The City is now accepting registration for seven sports programs and activities for kids, teens and seniors that were cut over the last five years during the economic decline. Start the New Year by signing up!

The restoration of community center programs is the result of the successful passage last November of Measure U, the City’s half-cent sales tax. Parks and Recreation is receiving as estimated 4.73 Million a year to restore services, a portion of which is being used to fund these no fee programs.

The schedule includes intramural sports and after school programs for teens, as well as programs for seniors who need help coping with declining health or have housing or transportation needs.

To see the entire list of programs and descriptions, visit the Parks & Rec page, or call the nearest community center.
