The City of Sacramento Department of Utilities is seeking interested volunteers to become Water Conservation Ambassadors.
As a Water Conservation Ambassador, you will have an opportunity to help teach the community about water conservation, learn how to assist customers with irrigation and water conservation tools, conduct neighborhood outreach and education and will help the City achieve its Best Management Practices goals and its goal of reducing water consumption by 20% by 2020.
Hours will vary and Ambassadors can sign-up to participate in activities after completing the two hour training workshop held on Saturday March 15 at 10 a.m. at The City of Sacramento Department of Utilities office (2260 Glen Ellen Cir, Sacramento, CA 95822).
The training will help familiarize new ambassadors with our current outdoor water conservation City code and about our current programs and incentives. Activities average two to six hours per week and will be located in the field and in the Water Conservation Office. Ambassadors may be asked to help work at special events throughout the city. Volunteers must be a city of Sacramento resident, 18 years of age or older and complete City Volunteer Agreement.
