Shelter 101 class offered to future volunteers, adoptions are up

The City’s Front Street Animal Shelter has started a volunteer mentoring program.

If you’re interested, this one day Shelter 101 class will make you ready to handle those lovable dogs, cats and other animals that make their way to the shelter. This is a great opportunity to meet new volunteers, make new friends and really support those who want to help.

Front Street Shelter is doing something right. The all-around improvement from January 2013 to January 2014 shows increased number of volunteers, increased volunteer hours, and fewer pet returns to the shelter. The proof is in the pudding. Check the stats.
