Business First Spotlight: New Helvetia Brewing Company

ImageLocated at 1730 Broadway Blvd., New Helvetia Brewing Company opened for business in 2012, and is modeled after the historic Buffalo Brewing Company in Sacramento.

Their unique location at the corner of 18th & Broadway is within easy walking and biking distance from Land Park, Curtis Park and Midtown neighborhoods, and only 1 block away from the Broadway Light Rail Station.

The building is recycled, an adaptive re-use of a historic former tortilla factory. The indoor tasting room is a family-friendly environment decorated with historic images of Sacramento and Buffalo Brewery memorabilia. The outdoor patio courtyard is a pooch-friendly area to unwind and enjoy Sacramento’s almost year-round outdoor weather.

“Sacramento has been experiencing a metamorphosis into a food-centric entertainment destination, and the craft beer industry is an integral part of the larger ‘Farm to Fork’ movement. Our customers and the people in our community have welcomed this positive change with open arms, and we are thrilled to be home in Sacramento,” says New Helvetia owner Dave Gull.
