Courtyard Classic Film Series: Moby Dick

By taking inspiration from David Ligare: California Classicist and Armin Hansen: The Artful Voyage, the Crocker Art Museum presents, Moby Dick, a film emphasizing the beauty, delights, and dangers of the sea. Bring your family and friends out to see this classic on the Kendall Davis Courtyard!
Thursday, July 9, 5 – 9 PM
Quench will feature all the events that you need for your Thursday night. Dance the night away to live music by Bonanza King and DJ Larry Rodriguez! If you don’t feel like dancing, enjoy an interactive art exhibit by Charlie Schneider and Simon Dvorak or even explore the fun possibilities of saving water! Happy hour is from 4-6pm and there will be $5 drink specials all night.
Classical Concert: William Feasley, Guitar
Sunday, July 12, 3 – 4 PM
Enjoy the musical styling of renowned guitarist, William Feasley while he demonstrates ways to experience modern Classicism. There will also be compositions from Peter Madlem and Manuel Ponce, who all demonstrate unique ways to see the sonata in a different light. Space is limited, reserve tickets in advance.
Symposium: The Art of David Ligare and Armin Hansen

Spend a wonderful day that the Crocker Art Museum on July 18 to observe the amazing work of two California artists, David Ligare and Armin Hansen, and meet one of the artists! David Ligare will be at the Museum to share his wisdom and insight behind his creative process and pieces of work. Following the lecture will be a conversation, Q & A session, and a meet and greet with Ligare.

The Takeover: An Art and Music Festival for Teens

Find yourself celebrating the local youth at “The Takeover.” This is the Museum’s 3rd annual event which showcases the art, vision, and culture of teens! Use the hash tag, #CrockerArt, to plot the teenage takeover of the Crocker.
