Join us for an I-5 Riverfront Reconnection Project Community Meeting

Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. at Stanford Gallery in Old Sacramento

Learn more about the I-5 Riverfront Reconnection Project—a new gateway into Old Sacramento—tonight from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Stanford Gallery in Old Sacramento. The City of Sacramento will be hosting a community meeting to share information about the project and its benefits to the region.

Work starts in July near Capitol Mall and 2nd Street and on O Street adjacent to I-5, and is expected to be finished in the fall of 2016, in time for the Golden 1 Center to open. The I-5 Riverfront Reconnection Project will provide improved connections to the riverfront, Old Sacramento, the Crocker Art Museum, and Capitol Mall. A new connection into Old Sacramento via Capitol Mall and 2nd Street will be constructed as well as improved pedestrian access on the O Street Bridge near Crocker Art Museum.

To learn more about the project, and sign up to receive email updates visit the City’s website. Questions about the community meeting and the project can be directed to info@riverfrongconnect.org.
