November Events at the Crocker Art Museum

Looking for some fun to fill your November month? The Crocker Art Museum is hosting tons of events for all ages! Whether you want to kick back in the courtyard and watch a classic film or dance the night away to live music, the Crocker Museum events this fall have just what you need. So bring out your friends and family and join in on these events!

 Book Sale

Saturday, November 7, 10 AM – 5 PM

Swing by and get your hands on a few rare books and materials from the Gerald Hansen Libarary!

Classical Concert: Festival of New American Music

Sunday, November 8, 3 PM

Music to your ears! Clarinetist Jeff Anderle and pianist Kate Campbell will feature the compositions of Derek Bermel, Tristan Perich, and much more. This concert is free for museum members and free with general admission for non-members.

Art Mix | Color

Thursday, November 12, 5 – 9 PM

Join us in celebrating the 22nd Annual Pink week! This event includes art, music,  and dance. There will be live salsa music from Simonn Rowe Latin project and Dj Young Aundee will be there to keep you dancing all night. There will be food and happy hour drink specials from 5-6 p.m.

 

Educator Soiree

Thursday, November 12, 6 – 8 PM

This soiree is for all the educators! Come network and dance to live music. This is a free night out for all educators, retired or current teachers, homeschool parents, social workers, art docents, classroom volunteers and museum educators are all welcome! Don’t miss this grand opportunity to take a break from the classroom.

Art Rx

Saturday, November 14, 11 AM

This event is for those individuals who are dealing with chronic pain along with caretakers/ family. Enjoy conversations about select pieces with an individual with a trained eye. This event is in collaboration with the Center for Pain Medicine’s Integrative Pain Management Program.

Wonder Lab

November 15, 11 AM – 2 PM

WarmLine Family Resource Center, the Shalom School and the Crocker Art Museum’s Art Access Committee are collaborating to put on this fun event for all! Take this great opportunity to use your creativity and make some wonderful art.

 

Architecture Tour

Sunday, November 15, 12 – 1 PM

Explore the beautiful architecture of the Teel Family Pavilion and the historic building! No registration is necessary and is free for members, and free with general admission for non-members.

 Meet Me at the Museum

Tuesday, November 17, 10:30 AM

Find yourself immersed in art observation and conversation during this lovely tour for visitors whom are living with dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. This art tour is held every third Tuesday of each month. Registration for this event is required.

 Kingsley Art Club Lecture Series: Dr. William Breazeale

Wednesday, November 18, 1:15 PM

This month’s Kingsley lecture features artists from all over. Dr. Breazeale will lead the discussion on the Crocker’s collection of German Drawings. Space is limited for this event! Reserve tickets as soon as you can.

 Wine Tastings and Paint Pairings

Thursday, November 19, 5:30 – 8 PM

Enjoy painting and enjoying a fine glass of wine? This event is perfect for you! Chef Matt Woolston will choose wines and small bites while you have a tasteful conversation about the Crocker’s collection. Try out your creativity with watercolor as you paint a still life work of art. No experience is necessary!

 Panel Talk: Art and Activism

Thursday, November 19, 6 PM

Interested in the intersection of art and activism? Join this event to understand the role that artists have played in activism and listen on their experiences in Black Lives Matter and other movements regarding civil rights.
