The City of Sacramento celebrated the grand opening of Cosumnes River Boulevard Extension and I-5 interchange on Tuesday, Dec. 15. The completion of the highly-anticipated $95 million project improves the east-west connectivity within the growing South Sacramento area, and will provide access to the planned Delta Shores Community.
The new planned development is an 800-acre mixed-use development that will feature a 1.3 million square feet of commercial development and over 4,900 residential units
As part of the celebration, a car parade kicked off the inaugural ride down the new extension. Parade participants included: City Officials, California Auto Museum, and City public safety and emergency service units
