Ride into May is Bike Month this weekend at the Great Scott Bike and Walk Event

The Great Scott! Bike and Walk Event is kicking off 2016 Bike Month on Sunday, May 1. With more than 30 miles of car-free roads between 8 a.m. – 2 p.m., riders and pedestrians can enjoy live music, food trucks, mini-massages, giveaways and much more!

The ride is FREE and made possible by Sacramento County, El Dorado County, City of Rancho Cordova, City of Folsom and our 50 Corridor Chambers of Commerce. Attendees can also participate in a photo scavenger hunt during the event for a chance to win $100 and $50 gift cards!

You can enter the ride course from any of these four points: White Rock Road and Luyung Drive (Rancho Cordova), Placerville Road (Folsom), White Rock Road near Latrobe Road (El Dorado Hills and Stonehouse Road (Rancho Marietta). Fast riders can access the course from 8 – 9 a.m. before the speed limit slows for family-friendly rides from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

For the past 6 years, May’s bike month has been promoting cycling in the Sacramento region. May is filled with cycling events including bike to work days, art mixes, bike-in-movies and more.
