The City of Sacramento released the Railyards Draft Subsequent Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) for public review and comment on June 10. The public review period will last through July 27, 2016.
The City is hosting an open house to provide the public with an opportunity to learn about the proposed amendments to the Railyards Specific Plan. The open house will also include information with regard to the release of the related subsequent environmental impact report (SEIR). This will include an overview of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) EIR process (including how to submit comments), the key issues analyzed in the Draft SEIR and identified significant and unavoidable impacts.
The public will have an opportunity to ask questions and talk about the proposed projects and the contents of the SEIR with the City staff, environmental consultants, and project applicants. Rather than a formal hearing, the open house will generally be one-on-one discussions. No public comments will be recorded at this event. Only questions made through the formal SEIR comment process will be addressed in the Final SEIR.
For more information about the Open House, please contact Richard Rich, Project Manager, City of Sacramento, at 916-367-1723, or rrrich@cityofsacramento.org.
