Old Sacramento Mardi Paws! Sacramento’s First Annual Dog Parade and Festival

Join the Front Street Animal Shelter for Sacramento’s First Annual Marti Paws! Sponsored by Fox 40, Kim Pacini-Hauch, and partners in Old Sacramento, this event will be for dog owners and animal lovers alike. Festivities will start with a Mardi Gras themed parade featuring dogs in costumes, on floats, and rocking traditional Marti Gras gear. A New Orleans style marching band will lead the pack.

Anyone with pets can enter, but best of all, everyone can come to watch and join in the fun. The parade will end with a vendor fair, food, drinks and a chance to support the Front Street Animal Shelter and local Old Sacramento businesses. This is the first of what the Front Street Animal Shelter hopes becomes an annual tradition to celebrate Sacramento’s love of pets and their people at the end of the leash.
