The City of Sacramento, in partnership with the Sacramento Conservation Corp is holding a tire amnesty event on Saturday March 25, 2017.  Sacramento residents can drop off up to eight used tires which will then be recycled.

“Tires are common in illegally dumped piles, partly because they are difficult get rid of,” states Terrance Davis, Integrated Waste Manager for the City of Sacramento. “This is a great opportunity for residents to properly recycle unwanted tires.“

Guidelines for the drop off:

  • The drop off is free
  • Only rubber tires, with no rims
  • A maximum of eight tires will be permitted per vehicle
