The City of Sacramento Front Street Animal Shelter accepted the Award of Excellence for Most Effective Social/New Media Campaign at this year’s CAPIO conference!

The entry submitted was a Facebook video used to promote the shelter’s “Home for the Pawlidays” adoption campaign in November, telling the story of a local realtor who pledged to pay for every animal’s adoption through the holidays. The video received 12.9 million views, 292,000 shares, and 67,000 reactions, reaching over 33,000,000 people organically. In just 31 business days, 1,097 animals were adopted into loving homes.

The story was picked up by local, national, and international news stations and appeared in television, radio, print, and web media.
