There’s nothing like spending summer days with family and friends at Sacramento’s Fairytale Town. Throughout the month of June, enjoy programs hosted by Fairytale town that promote the imagination, creativity, and education of children. Mark your calendars for the list of events below:
Theater Show: “Little Red Riding Hood”
When: Saturday and Sunday, June 3 and 4. Show times at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30 p.m.
Where: Children’s Theater
Details: Tickets are $2 for nonmembers in addition to park admission and $1 for members.
Community Day at the Sacramento Adventure Playground
When: Saturday, June 10 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Where: Maple Neighborhood Center, 3301 37th Ave.
Details: All ages are invited for a day of play at the Sacramento Adventure Playground. Children get to create their own play structures and spaces by re-purposing everyday items.
Family Campout Day at Fairytale Town
When: Friday, June 16, 5:30 p.m. through Saturday, June 17, 7 a.m.
Where: Fairytale Town
Details: Spend the night in Fairytale Town’s storybook park. This exciting overnight adventure includes a theater show, arts and crafts, a scavenger hunt, fun games, and bedtime stories. Prices range from $25 to $30 per person including all activities.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream & Crystal Ice Cream Fantasy
When: Saturday, June 24 from 5 – 9 p.m.
Where: Fairytale Town
Details: Celebrate William Shakespeare’s popular fairy-themed play while enjoying all-you-can-eat Crystal ice cream. Celtic band Stepping Stone will be performing. Costumes for the whole family are encouraged. Sponsored by Crystal Creamery.
