Sacramento Police Department installs year-round medication take back bins

The Sacramento Police Department partnered with the California Product Stewardship Council (CPSC) and its “Don’t Rush to Flush” program. The Department added a new year-round medication collection bin in the lobby of the Public Safety Center located at 5770 Freeport Boulevard.

The Department is also hosting a collection event for unwanted medications to participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. On Saturday, April 29th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., turn in your unused or expired prescription medication for safe disposal at the Sacramento Police Department.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse and medications.
