The City’s Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment Department is recruiting lifeguards for its Aquatics Division. As a lifeguard, individuals will have an opportunity to learn lifesaving skills, teach children how to swim, and engage with the local community.

Individuals at least 16 years of age, currently certified, or meet the lifeguard course prerequisites are encouraged to apply. For those that need training, the City will reimburse $150 of the training cost. Reimbursement is upon completion of a successful season of employment with the City. The Aquatics Section offers American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. All interested applicants must sign up through the City’s aquatics website.

Lifeguards will work through the 2018 pool season beginning May 2018. Salary starts at $12.76 an hour.
