Expected traffic delays at Folsom Blvd. Rehab Project as students return to campus

With school just around the corner, we’re reminding Sacramento State students, faculty, and residents of the ongoing work on Folsom Boulevard between 65th Street and Hornet Drive.

Read our previous article for a more in-depth description of the following ongoing projects:

  • Folsom Boulevard Complete Streets Rehabilitation Project – Completion anticipated for end of September 2018
  • Ramona Avenue Extension Project – Completion anticipated for end of December 2018

Classes at Sacramento State resume on Monday, August 27.

Folsom Boulevard typically experiences an influx of traffic during the early weeks of the semester, and is expected to experience even more congestion due to the projects. Commuters around the Sacramento State area should expect significant delays, traffic shifts, closures, and one-way flagging when traveling through the work zone.

Students and other residents are encouraged to use alternate routes to reach their destination and avoid the Folsom Boulevard corridor until construction activities wind down later in the year.
