Since being designated a “Green City” by Volkswagen and Electrify America in 2017, the City has taken many steps toward increasing access to electric vehicles.
Also known as “Sac-to-Zero”, the initiative has done work to install electric vehicle infrastructure, conduct outreach and education, and implement programs designed to increase access and use of zero-emission transportation.
New additions to the initiative include car sharing services, zero-emission bus/shuttle routes and electric vehicle chargers, which are anticipated to launch through the end of the year.
