Street closures and free rides on SacRT for the Sacramento Pride Festival

The Sacramento LGBT Community Center will host its annual Sacramento Pride event this weekend from June 8 to 9. The two-day event kicks off with a festival on Capitol Mall and a march on Sunday.

Residents and visitors planning to attend are encouraged to plan ahead, take alternative transportation, and watch for street closures.

Festival Street Closures

Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m. to Monday, June 10 at 1 a.m.

  • Complete closure of the westbound lanes of Capitol Mall between 3rd and 7th Streets and the eastbound lanes of Capitol Mall between 3rd and 5th Streets
  • Complete closure of the eastbound lanes of Capitol Mall between 5th and 7th Streets; 7th, 5th and 4th Streets between N and L Street; and 6th Street between Capitol Mall and L Street (access to parking garages/lots maintained at all times)

March Street Closures

Sunday, June 8 from 11 a.m. to Noon

  • Rolling street closures will be in place for the march route from 11 a.m. to noon.
  • The march starts at Southside Park heading east on T Street to 10th Street; north on 10th Street to Capitol Mall

Free Ride on Regional Transit

SacPride Fest attendees can ride free on SacRT buses and light rail trains on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday June 9 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Attendees must present a printed flyer (only one flyer needed per group).
