Sacramento customers are highly satisfied with the City’s garbage, recycling, yard waste and household junk pick up service according to a recent satisfaction survey.
Periodically conducted by the City’s Recycling and Solid Waste division, results of a recent survey show the division scored high marks across the board with a 92 percent satisfaction rating.
The division periodically conducts statistically valid surveys to help guide programs and services.
“Public opinion has always helped us navigate our decision-making process,” said Erin Treadwell, community outreach manager with the Recycling and Solid Waste division. “We are excited to see the results. We take pride in what we do and it’s rewarding to see positive numbers that reinforce the hard work of our staff.”
According to the satisfaction survey, one area where improvement is needed is street sweeping. Accordingly, the City is planning to increase street sweeping frequency next year and has already made it easier for customers to see their street sweeping day through the recently launched SacRecycle app.
The free app also provides quick access to service calendars, notifications and an easy-to-use database of what can be recycled.
