Looking to play some pickleball? These City of Sacramento parks have courts

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country, and there are multiple locations across Sacramento for people to play.

The City’s Department of Youth, Parks & Community Enrichment operates courts for various sports including pickleball, tennis and futsal.

Pickleball is played with paddles and a perforated plastic ball and is a cross between tennis, pingpong and badminton.

“Over the last couple of years there has been growing community excitement and interest for more places to play this sport,” said Park Planning, Design and Development Manager Raymond Costantino. “We’re happy to have had the opportunity to work with the pickleball community to add more courts and to fill the need.”

Those looking for an opportunity to play can use the Playtime Scheduler website, which shows times and locations where people are planning games.

Here are the City parks that have courts with pickleball striping:

  • Burnett Miller Park (in McKinley Village)
  • Cabrillo Park
  • Curtis Park
  • Garcia Bend Park
  • Lewis Park
  • Magnolia Park
  • Southside Park
  • Sycamore Park
  • Valley Oak Park
